Buffalo 2, Indianapolis 1




The Bisons hosted Indianapolis Monday with a 10:30am kids day game.


Nelson Figueroa (1-4, 3.17) started for the Herd.


Indy struck first , with a Garrett Jones home run in the sixth inning, which was only the 4th hit of the game off of Figgy.


Buffalo came right back in the bottom half of the same inning with two runs. OF Cory Sullivan reached first base on an error, and was sent home on Michal Abreu’s 4th home run of the season. Abreu had come into the game as a pinch hitter for Wily Mo Pena, in the 4th inning, who was pulled for unexplained reasons.


Figueroa went 7.0 innings, giving up four hits, one run, and striking out seven. He lowered his ERA to 2.93.


Elmer Dessens closed it out with his 8th save of the season.
