Harrisburg beat Binghamton, 3-2.
Frankly, this is your typical Eric Brown (4-5, 4.81) start… 7.0 IP, 3 ER. Frankly, I have nothing against Brown, but this is a perfect example of how Omar & Co. runs the minors. It will never get better with Brown, but instead of releasing him and giving him a chance to step back, the Mets keep him in the rotation for his second bad year in a row. (6-9, 5.05 last year for the B-Mets). Look for Jake Ruckle to return to the rotation by the weekend.
1B Nick Evans is quietly getting his act together. Went 2-4 and his BA is up to .260; around .200 for the combined AAA/AA stats. I’m telling you, he’s finish at AA over .300, and get a September call-up, even if it is to showcase him for a trade package.
