Dunedin won the first game of a doubleheader, 12-1.
Interesting start…
Lucy went down 13-0, in the first three innings. Two doubles, two homers, and all sorts of singles. SP Eric Niesen lasted only 0.2 innings, giving up five runs. RP Nicholas Waechter came to the rescue and gave up seven more runs in 1.1 IP. Niesen had 10 starts before this and went into the game with a 2.53 ERA, so we’ll give him this one. Waechter isn’t as lucky… he went in with a 4.56 and exited in the Jonathan Niese range.
Lucy got a couple of hits and this one got over as quick as it was forgotten.
