LAST GAME: Josh Rodriguez singled to right field in the bottom of the ninth inning to bring home Pedro Zapata with the game-winning run in Binghamton’s 2-1 walk-off win over the Harrisburg Senators yesterday at NYSEG Stadium. It was Binghamton’s first walk-off victory of the season. Rodriguez’s single was the B-Mets first hit with a runner in scoring position after going 0-for-11 to start the game. Armando Rodriguez tossed two scoreless innings to earn his first win while Greg Peavey allowed just on unearned run in a season-high 7.0 innings in the no-decision. Harrisburg scored their only run on a throwing error by catcher Juan Centeno in the fourth. The B-Mets scored their first run in the fifth on an error by catcher Sandy Leon.

STARTING PITCHING MATCHUP: LHP Mark Cohoon (2-3, 2.48) makes his sixth start of the season. The lefty comes off a loss to the Akron Aeros in his last start on May 2. He allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits over five innings in a game the B-Mets lost 3-1. Cohoon has factored into the decision in each of his first five starts. The Texas native started last season with the B-Mets. He went 1-3 with a 3.81 ERA in nine starts before being promoted to Buffalo (AAA) in late May. In 18 starts in the International League, Cohoon went 4-11 and compiled a 6.11 ERA. A 12th-round pick in the June 2008 draft by the Mets, the southpaw is in his fifth season of pro baseball. It’s his third year with the B-Mets.

LHP Andrew Albers (1-0, 4.35) makes his sixth start and seventh appearance on the mound this season. He gave up four runs on seven hits over five innings in a no-decision in his last start against the Harrisburg Senators on May 2. Albers’ season debut came in relief on April 7 before he was added into the rotation. The southpaw signed with the Minnesota Twins as a minor league free agent in March 2011 after pitching for the Quebec Capitales of the Can-Am League in 2010. Originally drafted by the Padres in 2008, he was released after the 2009 season after injuring his left elbow. As a member of the Canadian National team, he won a bronze medal at the 2011 Baseball World Cup and gold at the 2011 Pan American Games.
