Drugs, Stupidity, Irresponsibility, and Second Base

Danny Muno let him team down yesterday.

He pissed in a cup and probably pissed his baseball career away.

The Mets don’t tolerate this shit. I could waste good typing on the myriad amount of loser names that were suspended and never got a chance to play another Mets game. No, this isn’t breaking curfew for a basketball game or even a joint out by the pool. This was hard core performance enhancing drugs and the intent was to break the law.

Muno was a college senior trying make up for lost time. He had a wonderful season last year in Brooklyn, but he was two-years too old for that level when he started there. Thankfully, he passed the Savannah level so he could play with players closer to his age. Sadly, it was Florida, where it seems everything in life goes trashy.

He was still playing shortstop, though his future was projected to be at second base. The next projected Met for that position, Reese Havens, is having a horrible year, and there even was some chatter recently to promote Danny to Binghamton. He was old enough, and boy was he hitting. In fact, he was hitting so well that…

You may find this post a little harsh if you’re one of the Mets minor leaguers that visit this site. Normally, I have the back of all of you and we try to only write positive things (unless your last name rhymes with ‘boner’).

Muno doesn’t deserve my back. He’s a stupid shit for wasting a budding career and he’s more of a stupid shit for cheating when less talented teammates play by the rules and struggle to hold on.

In fact, he’s just that… a stupid shit.

For now, Robbie Shields will stay at second and Wilfredo Tovar will play short. This is the best team in minor league baseball so they shouldn’t skip a beat. You may even see Alonzo Harris return to the infield, or T.J. Rivera (.349)  or Brandon Brown (.294) will be promoted from Savannah.

What you hopefully won’t see is the Mets drafting another under size college senior trying to make up for what God didn’t give him, a major league body or the intelligence to play a fair game.
