2015 Draft - Round 9 (269th Overall) - OF - Kevin Kaczmarski - Evansville - UPDATED

6-0, 190 - L/R

BA #371 - No college player had a better offensive season than Kaczmarski, a 5-foot-11, 190-pound outfielder whose father played three years in the Padres farm system in the early 1980s. The younger Kaczmarski, already 23, is a fifth-year senior who missed a season with a broken right foot in 2011. He hasn’t been drafted previously but is a lefthanded-hitting center fielder who has performed. He led Division I in batting and triples (9) heading into regionals, while ranking second in on-base percentage and slugging in a .465/.543/.746 season. He’s an average runner with a line-drive, gap-to-gap approach.

Great bat,but you have to move him quickly.

I hope they play him for the rest of this year in St. Lucie... otherwise, why draft a 23 year old outfielder?

To save some money to sign some high schoolers probably. All in all, a solid draft considering we didn't have a 1st rounder.
