INJURY UPDATE - SPs - Noah Syndergaard and Steven Matz

Noah Syndegaard's next start has been pushed back due to a blister on one of his fingers on his pitching hand (too many sliders).

Something additional has developed and Steven Matz is going for a second opinion on his 'dead arm'.

(Mack: My guess... look for a 5-inning spot start by Montero this weekend)

Thor has the accursed Nolan Ryan Syndrome. Order pickle brine.

Is lefty Tom Szapucki ready yet.

Pickle brine is exactly what I though of when I heard "blister." Apparently, we're both old. I think that Rube Walker came up with that.

Syndergaard will be fine. He should try the Moises Alou method to toughen the skin.

Matz now has a dead arm? This kid is beginning to worry me.

Montero spot start. Bring it on. Would love for this kid to make it big.

I looked at runs allowed by a slew of pitchers this spring. We are BLESSED to have Montero, believe me

Adam -

I'm older... I remember urine

Mack, urine is how I harden my finger tips so I don't get blisters typing Mack Mets articles. (Should I not reveal that?? Whoops)
