ABOUT LAST GAME: The Fireflies shut out an opponent for the fifth time this season and improved to 10-6 with a 5-0 victory over Lexington on Friday night. Starter Merandy Gonzalez turned in a sterling seven-inning outing—the righty scattered three hits and struck out seven.

BEST IN BASEBALL: First and foremost, take a look at what starters Merandy Gonzalez and Jordan Humphreys have done in just three starts this season:

        M. Gonzalez: 3-0, 20.2 IP, 0.00 ERA, 10 H, 1 BB, 18 K
        J. Humphreys: 3-0, 18.2 IP, 0.96 ERA, 10 H, 1 BB, 22 K

Not only are the numbers remarkable, but no other team in all of professional baseball (MLB and MiLB) have a pair of pitchers with 3-0 records in just three starts each.

PITCHING WINS: Take a look at the success Columbia has had on the mound this season:

· 2.64 ERA - 3rd-lowest in the SAL
· 103 hits allowed (only 6 or 7 per game) - lowest in the SAL and 16th-lowest out of all 120 MiLB teams
· Held opponents to three or fewer runs each of last 5 games … Columbia has done that 10 times total in 16 games
· 5 shut-out victories - most in all of pro baseball (MLB & MiLB)
· Have walked just 2 batters the last 34 innings (4 games) … Columbia issues just 2.5 walks/game - 3rd-lowest in SAL and tied for 12th-lowest among all 120 MiLB teams
· 2 HRs allowed - lowest in all of pro baseball (MLB & MiLB)

TEBOW’s BIG DAY: The outfielder recorded his first multi-hit game of the season on Friday (3-for-3, double, walk). Tebow is hitting .208/.283/.354 in 13 games with 2 HRs, 9 RBIs and 4 BBs.
