Tom Brennan - OLD MAN HITTING TRACKER VOL. 3
I wrote the other day that baseball is a young man's game.
And that our 2 active old guys, Curtis Granderson and Jose Reyes, have showed the clock may be running out on them.
Granderson did well last night, with 2 hits, including a homer, plus a walk. The two hits boosted him to a still-painful .167.
Reyes? Terrible once again. 0-5, hitting an abominable .097.
Reyes RBIs after nearly 70 plate appearances? 0. I could do that.
After a 3-3 night with a walk, even Tim Tebow is hitting .208.
The oldsters' combined 2017 numbers thru 17 games are:
16 for 122 (.131), 9 runs, 6 RBIs, .194 OBP, 32 Ks, 1 steal.
Mets have lost 6 of 7 despite fine starting pitching? Why?
THE #'S ABOVE SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES.
Until this changes, I think I will run this update daily. Too old to rock and roll, until proven otherwise.
