Ponies Run Wild in Queens: The New York Mets came-from-behind three separate times against the Tampa Bay Rays at Citi Field on Wednesday night. Former Binghamton Rumble Ponies first baseman Pete Alonso (2017-18) slugged a walk-off three-run homer in the 10th inning to win 8-7. The Kid Line: The New York Mets recalled former Binghamton Rumble Ponies infielder Mark Vientos (2021) from Triple-A Syracuse yesterday ahead of last night's game. Vientos batted eighth and played third base for the big club in his 2023 season debut. He ripped a game-tying two-run homer on a line drive to center in the seventh inning to make it a 2-2 ballgame. With the Rays leading 5-2 in the bottom of the ninth, former Rumble Ponies catcher Francisco Álvarez (2022) came up to the plate as the tying-run with runners on first and second and two outs. He crushed a game-tying three-run homer on a 1-0 count with the Mets down to their final out, to make it 5-5 and force extra innings. Former Binghamton Rumble Ponies infielder Brett Baty (2021-22) will start at third base and bat fifth for the Mets this afternoon against Tampa Bay.

It really is all about...
talent consistency. Does not matter what position or how many at bats you get. Consistency sells the deal.
