The 6-5, 165 pound 22-year old Dominican comes out of the International signing system.
He first pitched for the DSL-Athletics in 2018, going 3-3, 3.15 in 14 games, three starts.
Next came Pittsburgh GSL team (part of the Tanner Anderson trade) in 2019 where he tossed 12.2 innings in four starts, going 0-2, 6.39.
2020 was the COVID delay.
He returned in 2021 for the Pirates FCL team (2-1, 3.69) and their Florida League team in 2022 (37-appearances, 1-start, 4-1, 3.8851-IP, 58-K)
Then, this season, he came a Met in the Rule 5 draft.
So far this season, Wilkin has pitched 12.2 innings in seven Brooklyn games, giving up only one earned run (0.71, 0.87), while striking out 18 (12.80 K/9).
Ramos is tall and lanky and adding weight will help him in the future. Classic overhead delivery with high leg lift into the motion. 89-92 50-grade fastball, hitting 95-96. 73-76 curve.
Me? I like this guy but I want to see a full year from him at this level. I would feel much more confident if he could refine his secondary pitches and eat some more.

Needs to have a great first half at A+ to see what he can do at AA
