LUKE RITTER:
Cracked 3 homers for Binghamton yesterday.
Ritter has always been a high power, high walk, higher K guy.
He now has 15 HRs in 167 at bats this year. 36 walks in 51 games, plus 66 Ks.
This year and last in the high minors, 624 at bats, 95 walks, 231 Ks, 30 HRs. Yep, .231 Ks. Ouch.
June shows the enigma most starkly. 38 ABS, 13 hits, 7 HRs and 14 RBIs in 10 games - and 17 Ks. (11 HRs in 15 games is incredible, though, I’d say).
Fix the Ks and you are a major league OF.
Another guy hitting much better on the road, with almost all his HRs on road trips and a 100 point high average.
ROWDEY JORDAN:
Started 2023 slow as spittle in AA. Gotta adjust, right?
Then May 26 came? Staring that day, in 14 games, the left fielder who was slightly sub-Mendoza 16 hits, 12 walks, 3 doubles, 4 HRs, 11 RBIs.
June slash? .324/.453/.735.
The 24 year old, 11th rounder in 2021 is getting it done very well of late. Keep rolling.
BLADE TIDWELL:
Pictured above, pre-draft. Still struggling with control, and 2 runs in 4 innings for Brooklyn, but he fanned 10.. Ten of 12 outs by K, and I’m smiling. (Does Blade throw a cutter? Just curious).
2-3, 4.89, but 60 Ks in 38.2 IP.
My conclusion? Future Mets starter.

Back to being sharp in AA with 9 Ks and just 3 hits in 6 innings. Nice.

DU STEWART:
29 year old former major leaguer, who has 27 HRs in 527 MLB at bats in his career, started SLOW in AAA. 7 torrid June games though: .375/.484/.958. Now 13 HRs in 2023 in 139 at bats. Blistering at HOME this year at .352 vs. .153 on the road. I imagine that if he keeps that recent torrid HR and hitting pace up, some MLB team might want him.

The Mets AAA Syracuse team is right now 23-36, nothing to write home about there. Butto is still struggling and needs one more outpitch added into his arsenal like I have been saying. The one guy that did catch my eye was 25 year old righty Wayne "Hunter" Parsons (of the School of Design).
Whereas at Syracuse, I still like the young lefty Nate Lavender, and yes I still think that converting him to a starter might be a wise thing to do now since most of the best arms coming up to the Mets lately seem to be relievers only and how many of those do we actually need.
The more talented MiLB Mets team is Binghamton's at 28-28. 24 year old outfielder Matt Rudick is having a good start to his season batting .297 with 9 HR's, 31 RBI's, and an OBP of .441. And outfielder Johan Rojas (age 22) is having a nice season as well with a .301 BA, OBP of .3555 with 5 homeruns.
From the Rumbleponies' mound, I like righty starter Stephen Trey McLoughlin (age 24), and righty relievers Daniel Juarez (age 22) and Sammy Tavarez (6'7"/24 yrs. old).
Now as far as past NY Mets starters, I concur injuries destroyed our best starters. Personally speaking, I liked Zach Wheeler the bst of the grouping because his mechanics were so smooth and should always keep him on the mound. Harvey was a hard thrower.
John Ritter would have felt that Luke Ritter was fine to make it Four’s Company, given all the four-baggers.

New York Mets signed free agent LHP Matt Minnick to a minor league contract and sent him to Binghamton.
Have you looked at this guy's stats...they're phenomenal...no surprise he's at BNG.
He's only 27...a LRP who made it all the way to AAA in 3rd year.
How did he get released by the FCL Yankees on June 8, 2023?
Did he kill someone? Say bad things about the Skankees or Swinebrenners?
