Adam Bostick Should Get A Call To NY

When will Adam Bostick get the call to Citifield? What else does the guy have to do to get noticed? Have a peek at last nights line:

Adam Bostick 3 IP, 2 H, ER, 1/3 BB/K, HR, 2.08 era, SV (2), 41:26:15, 2:4:3

Outside of a solo shot, the guy had a solid outing last night. Not to mention a solid year since moving from a starter to the pen. Yes, he is a late bloomer (26 years old), but here are 5 reasons why he belongs in NY today:
  1. He is left handed and could be an option in 2010 to spell Feliciano.
  2. 54 K's in 47.2 innings pitched between AA and AAA, with most of that work on a terrible Buffalo team.
  3. .191 batting average against at AAA.
  4. 19 walks in 47.2 IP
  5. He has not given up an earned run to left handed hitters yet this year
So ask yourself Mets fans, who would you rather see the rest of this year? Elmer Dessens or Adam Bostick?
