Here's What We're Down To...

The Brooklyn Cylcones have a promotion going on tonight:

Mets’ All-Star third baseman David Wright will be taking batting practice with the Cyclones on Wednesday, and fans can get into the ballpark early to watch! Wright will be working out with the Cyclones as he rehabs his way back to the Mets after being hit in the head by a pitch on August 15th.You MUST have an August 26th game ticket to be admitted to the ballpark. Gates will open at 3pm, with batting practice scheduled for 3:30pm.
Get your tickets NOW!
So, here's where we are, guys...
The most exciting going on in Mets baseball land is a player on the disabled list taking batting practice.
Boy, I can't wait for winter ball.

Matt Murton is floating out there now. Speaking of next year, this is a guy who you could grab right now and plug in the outfield for the rest of this lost season. Didn't Omar state these are the type of guys the Mets are looking for?

Worst case scenario, he does not hit, and the Mets let him go in Spring Training.
