FLASH: Braves Acquire Justin Upton

The Atlanta Braves and the Arizona Diamondbacks agreed on a deal that would send OF Justin Upton, minor league 1B Brandon Drury, and 3B Chris Johnson to the Braves for 3B Martin Prado, SP Randall Delgado, SS prospect Nick Ahmed and SP prospect Zeke Spruill.

(Wow....kudos to the Braves organization. This looks like a steal in favor of the Braves. Ahmed projects to be an average middle infielder at best, Prado had a career year and is a free agent next season, and Delgado hasn't exactly proved anything in the major league level let alone AAA where his ERA is above 4. The only real good grab here is Spruill who projects to be a very good #3 innings eater sinkerballer and should start in AAA next season.)

Have to think that a Wilmer Flores, Jennry Mejia, Cory Mazzoni, +1 package mightve gotten it done.

The Mets didn't have the players to pull this off THIS year.

Right now the Nats and Braves are in a different league of their own.

I don't know Mack, that deal from the Braves seems pretty light. I can't see why the Mets couldn't have done something similar, especially without having to include a zach wheeler type.
