Top ’14 College Hitters - 4. Bradley Zimmer / OF / San Francisco — The younger
brother of Royal first-rounder Kyle, Zimmer is an impressive athlete who looks
like he can play center field despite his size (6-5, 205). Right now the
left-handed hitting outfielder is much more raw talent than finished product,
but with some raw power and above-average tools across the board he will be a
coveted prospect come June. http://mlbdraftinsider.com/2013/10/top-14-for-14-college-hitters/

Pine Tar Press - 32- OF Brad Zimmer U. of San Francisco
11/27/92- He is the younger brother of 2012 Kansas City Royals 1st round pick
Kyle. Zimmer is a tall, lean RF with a solid line drive approach and good
speed. He has a very good arm and uses all fields well from the left side of
the plate. I saw him play Missouri in 40-degree weather last March and he
showed very good bat control and a solid baseball IQ. (Red Sox @ 30) http://pinetarpress.com/early-look-2014-mlb-draft/

Arizona Diamondbacks — Bradley Zimmer, OF, San Francisco - With so much
pitching in their system, the D-backs can grab one of the higher upside guys in
the 2014 MLB draft. The younger brother of Royals top prospect Kyle Zimmer, Bradley
is a 6’-5” right-hander with plus speed and developing power. Over 58 games as
a sophomore, he hit .320/.437/.512 with 12 doubles, seven home runs and stole
19 bases. He also shows a great approach at the plate as he drew 29 walks to 31
strikeouts and was hit by a pitch a whopping 16 times, proving he’ll do
whatever it takes to get on base. He showed off his wheels for the Collegiate
National Team, swiping 11 of 12 bases over 21 games while also hitting an even
.300. His speed and plus arm should allow him to remain in center field at the
next level. http://throughthefencebaseball.com/2014-mlb-draft-2/40753#ppGUqI6CbWFvzsPf.99

I like Brad Zimmer a lot. At present time, he does not project to go as high as a top 10 pick but this is a guy I think will fly up boards and his name will be in the discussion for our #1 pick come June. Your thoughts Mack?
Hey Sinful -
Zimmer will not come into play for the Mets because he doesn't warrant being the #10 pick and he'll be gone before the Mets pick in the 3rd round.
I think he's a good outfield prospect, but not as talented as Gettys, powerful as Conforto, or toosy as Wilson.
I would love Gettys.
Funny that everyone says we have no hitting prospects but on mlb.com's top 10 for us, only thor and montero are pitchers. the rest are hitters: Flores, Cecchini, Nimmo, Smith, Plawecki, Puello, d'Arnaud, Herrera
Leads me to believe that if a Beede or someone is available that we'd take him. Great draft class though so we're bound to get someone really solid
I'm sure the Mets will go 'best man available'... but they love high school players with their first pick, and it's going to be tough to pass on one of top HS arms that should be available.
We'll see about Zimmer, I think he'll surprise you, Mack!
