I'm all for competition, but this might be pushing it a little bit at this point.
Wheeler, Niese, Gee, Colon, Dice-K, Mejia and Lannon.
I hope deGrom, Montero and Thor enjoy their March at camp, because management has made absolutely sure that none of them will see Citi field come April.
And maybe Mejia is looking more and more like a reliever at this point.....
But it never hurts to throw out a bunch of guys, pitch 2 innings each, and see what happens I guess.

In all fairness though the AAA rotation needs to be filled too.

Of the guys who made the 144 starts last season, Only DeGrom and Montero remain.

So this season's rotation will be Degrom, Montero, Syndergaard, ____ and ____.

From AA, Verrett, Cohoon, and Goeddel, Mazzoni, and Gorski figure to be promoted to AAA.

However Mazz, Gorski, Cohoon, and Goeddel all could potentially work in the bullpen. While the Mets have 2 major league ready emergency arms in one of those 2 empty spots with Verrett taking the other.
