KINGSPORT, TENN
Kingsport's offense continued its sluggish start to the season Friday night - only mustering out 2 runs on 4 hits for a .164 team batting average on the night. CF Ivan Wilson who had a solid game on opening night went 0/4 at the plate with 3Ks. Kingsport did go deep for the second straight night with Vicente Lupo hitting a solo home run in the 8th inning. Luis Guillorme, Branden Kaupe, and Wuilmer Becerra each had a base hit. The team stranded 8 men on base and had opportunities to score, but went 0/7 with RISP.

Kingsport failed to hold down the visiting Braves early again as Danville scored 4 of their 7 runs in the first 3 innings.
Reliever Ty Williams pitched 2.2 innings and only gave up 1 run, but had difficulty finding the strike zone tonight. He gave up 4 hits and walked 2.
Kingsport is (0-2) for the second consecutive season and is last in team batting average in the league (.164).
The K-Mets will go for their first win of the season Saturday night as they host the Danville Braves again for the final time at home in the regular season. First pitch is slated for 6pm.
WORTH NOTING: Rain showers before the game delayed the start by 47 minutes. Three teams remain unbeaten in the Appy League (Danville, Pulaski, and Elizabethton). Kingsport has not attempted to steal any bases in the first two games of the season. The 2013 squad, which won the Western Division title and advanced to the playoffs for the first time in 17 years started their season (0-3).
