2015 Draft - Profile - 2B - Ian Happ - Cincinnati - updated 6-19

6-19-14 - Harwich 6, Hyannis 3 - In the first extra innings contest of the season, the Harwich Mariners (6-1) bested the Hyannis Harbor Hawks (4-3) 6-3 at McKeon Park. A solo home run in the second fromCarl Wise put the Harbor Hawks on the board first and would keep them on top for the next two innings. But a RBI double from Brendon Sanger tied the game at one apiece in the fifth. That wouldn’t be the last time the two teams found themselves in a tied ballgame as consistent hitting on both sides kept the game close. The Mariners tallied 12 hits total with all but one of the starting line up notching at least one hit. Harwich center fielder Ian Happ continued his hitting steak going 2-for-5 with a walk and a RBI while Bobby Melley also went 2-for-5 with a RBI for Hyannis. Ultimately it was a three-run 11th inning for the Mariners starting with a lead off single from Angelo Amendolare that would give Harwich their third straight win.

6-4-14 - Cincinnati's Ian Happ might be the first second baseman drafted come June 2015. He has excellent power for an infielder from both sides of the plate. In addition, he adds excellent speed to the bases
