NYSportFanBuzz - SP - Bartolo Colon

The New York Mets may have the answer for the Angels pitching needs, and that player could be Bartolo Colon. Colon, who has been having a good year for the Mets, sporting an 11-10 record with a 3.85 ERA, could be what the Angles are interested in. Colon, who has yet to be placed on waivers, is due $11 million next year, and will be turning forty-two. Bartolo will have to go through waivers for the Angles to acquire him, which may serve as a problem for the Angles as there will not be any guarantee that they will get him. The Mets, as we already know have pitching depth next year with the return of Harvey, and the probable promotion of Noah Syndergaard, this could be a good opportunity for the Mets to grab someone that can help their team for 2015 or down the road.

As we know, the Angels will certainly look elsewhere to find the answer to this problem because Colon is not even on waivers at this time. Mets GM Sandy Alderson is also known to put a pretty set price on his players, he wants players that can contribute for the team next year, not two years from now, so the question is will the Angels be able to offer up someone that the Mets are looking for? Keep a close eye on this developing situation with the Angels, as this is merely a possibility which is far from a reality as of now, but could happen but for the right price and the right situation.

I'd ask for Cam Bedrosian, Steve's son. He was absolutely dominating at AA before being promoted. He throws 99 mph and would look good in the pen next to Familia and company.
