Weekend Mets Games in Review

(First, hey Tom Brennan, don't look now but Tim tebow go three hits in the last BingPone game!)

Great win last night for the NY Mets! Was a rougher than should have been weekend though. At least they are still above .500%, which is good.

My Thoughts Simplified Version (take with a grain of Sodium Chloride because I am still weighing and trying hard to Figure all this out and I am not a rocket scientist, yet.)

Out injured new subjects (2): INF/Wilmer Flores and RP/AJ Ramos

Down to MiLB Vegas or Rumbleponies...RP/ Rhame, Blevins, Vargas, Conlon, Sewald

Up to NY Mets...(SP) Nabil Crismatt, (RP's) Bashlor, T. Peterson, Roseboom, Hanhold

Overall Purpose:

Mets bullpen needs a "youth infusion" and some new faces. The current bullpen here now looks like it is imploding. With four new relievers,(the best MetLand/MiLB has right now) it allows the guys going down to regroup, maybe add a much needed one more out pitch to their respective arsenals. While waiting for them to get back up, we get to see four new relievers and from numbers comes the one or two who will stick, and the very best NY Mets starter Nabil Crismatt.

The Mets are putting everything on Lugo and Gsellman shoulders, which is fine, and I think they can handle it. But Familia is a question mark still, sort of in the proverbial Los Metsos doghouse right now. This type of a call-up with so many all coming up at once can have its advantages for these players since they all know one another and the spotlight is spread out over a group and not just the one player.

My call up idea for the fielders is Binghamton second baseman Jeff McNeil, who deserves a quick look, as actually so does Peter Alonso who is clobbering the ball. These two are currently the best hitters on Binghamton.

Loved watching the 1983 thru 1986 NY Mets teams play between games in Atlanta on SNY. Was great to see that 1986 NY Mets Championship team in all its stunning glory once again. It made me realize how utterly dominant that team was and make me wonder if this 2018 NY Mets team could be like it was. I personally think so with the right tweaks and these ideas may not be so far fetched a thing. Naysayers will not agree, I realize, but you may find the diamond/s in the rough this way and then add in a lefty set-up and b-i-n-g-o!

[Never know and that's why they play the games. It is not at all too late to try.]
