We have made the following roster moves.

Daviel Hurtado

The FCL-Mets game was suspended on Tuesday after two innings. The Mets starter was Daviel Hurtado, who threw two scoreless innings, struck out five, and lowed his ERA to 0.47. Going into this game, Hurtado has thrown 20 strikeouts in 16 innings. That total is now 25 strikeouts in 18 innings.

Hurtado is a 20/year old pitching prospect that came out of Cuba and was signed by the Mets in 2023 as theur top IFA pitching prospect. Strong fastball-curve-changeup mix. FB low-90s, T-96. Good command.

I really like this guy and have upped him to RED Prospect status. Much too early to project an ETA here. He's pitching lights out in the complex that St. Lucie plays, so you could see him finish this season with that team.
