NY Post: Mets score two whole runs — and Jacob deGrom does the rest. "DeGrom’s eight shutout innings helped the Mets snap a seven-game losing streak with a 2-0 victory over the Brewers at Miller Park...DeGrom (8-5) surrendered just four hits and his ERA dropped to 2.15. He has allowed two earned runs or fewer in his past eight starts...Jeurys Familia, in his first appearance since experiencing left groin discomfort last week, worked a perfect ninth and earned his 20th save in 22 tries." 

NY Post: Familia calms nerves, picks up first save sincereturn from injury. “In his return to action, the Mets closer pitched a perfect ninth inning for his 20th save in 22 chances in the Mets’ 2-0 victory over the Brewers on Thursday that snapped a seven-game losing streak. Familia had soreness in his left groin last Friday and hadn’t pitched since.”



Nationals beat the Braves 7-0 to stay 3.5 games ahead of the Mets.
