Draft 14 – Scott Blewett, Justus Sheffield, Jacob Nix, Ti’Quan Forbes, Michael Cederoth

11-27-13 – Big League Futures Top 25 Poll –  24 Scott Blewett    RHP Charles W Baker (NY) http://bigleaguefutures.net/1/2013/11/26/mlb-draft-top-25-prospects-poll/

12-10-13 – TTF – Top 50 HS Players - 17. Justus Sheffield, LHP, Tullahoma HS (TN) - Much like his older brother Jordan, who was considered first-round material until Tommy John surgery all but made him honor his commitment to Vanderbilt, Justus has a plus fastball that can touch 94 mph. The 6’-0” southpaw is a great athlete and also adds an above-average, mid-70s change, as well as a mid-70s curve that still needs refining. Committed to Vanderbilt. http://throughthefencebaseball.com/2014-mlb-draft-top-50/40532#zz88YJZTOG8iEa1Z.99

11-21-13 – BA Top 100 High School Players - 74 Jacob Nix RHP R/R 6-4 205 Los Alamitos (Calif.) HS UCLA http://www.baseballamerica.com/college/2014-high-school-top-100-with-commitments/

B/R – 11-21-13 - 25. Los Angeles Dodgers: Ti’Quan Forbes, SS, Columbia HS (Miss.) - The youngest prospect in the draft class, Ti'Quan Forbes, who scouts knew little to nothing about heading into the summer, stands out for his impressive blend of athleticism and tools. At 6’4”, 175 pounds, the Ole Miss commit has plenty of room to fill out and should have plenty of strength at maturity. At the dish, Forbes, a right-handed hitter, showcases above-average bat speed with some pop to the gaps and utilizes his plus speed to leg out countless infield knocks. Meanwhile, at shortstop, he projects to remain at the position long term with exceptional range, smooth and fluid actions, and plenty of arm strength.  http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1860341-2014-mlb-mock-draft-early-first-round-projections-for-all-30-teams/page/10

12-9-13 – Pine Tar Press  -  11- RHP Michael Cederoth San Diego St 11/25/92- I watched Cederoth throw last March on TV vs USD and it was obvious he was going to be a name for the 2014 draft. He certainly has a big time arm but it was also clear he was in need of some refinement. The 6’6 righty can dial it up near 100 and if he can show more command with his pitches this spring he could easily enter the discussion as a top 10 pick.
