Eric Young Jr. was non-tendered today by the New York Mets.
The Mets have tendered a contract to SS Ruben Tejada.

Well, the Mets got one of two right here.
EYJ was long overdue and MDD can replace him (a bit slower on the basepaths but much better defense and cheaper).
Tejada should have been shown the door as well, in my opinion. If they are able to trade Tejada as part of a larger deal then this is a good move, but I'm hoping he's not on the Mets in 2015.
