Mets Individual Spring Training Tickets go on sale Saturday


National Anthem tryouts and youth clinic also on tap

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (January 14, 2014) - 
Tickets for all New York Mets 2015 Home Spring Training Grapefruit League games in Port St. Lucie, Fla. will go on sale this Saturday, January 17 at 10:00 a.m. at Mets.com and the Tradition Field ticket office in Port St. Lucie. The Mets first home game will be Friday, March 6 vs. the American League Central champion Detroit Tigers at 1:10 p.m. at Tradition Field.
 

Season and group tickets for Mets Spring Training games are on sale now by calling the Tradition Field Ticket Office at 772-871-2115. More information is available online at Mets.com, StLucieMets.com or by calling 772-871-2115.
 
The Mets will host the Yankees on Sunday, March 22 at 1:10 p.m. and the Boston Red Sox Sunday, March 8 at 1:10 p.m. Other home spring training opponents include the Miami Marlins, Washington Nationals, Atlanta Braves, St. Louis Cardinals and Houston Astros.
 
The following will take place at Tradition Field this Saturday for local fans:
  • Complimentary hot dogs and drinks
  • Clearance table at Fan Shop – 10-4 pm
  • Anthem tryouts inside main stadium – 10-noon (call 772-871-2100)
  • Spring Training and St. Lucie Mets Job Fair in main conference room – 10 am – 4pm
  • Youth baseball camp for kids age 7-13 by St. Lucie Mets coaches and players on main field–Bring your own glove - $10 per child (proceeds to Boys and Girls Club)
  • Fans purchasing spring training tickets can buy (2) tickets to St. Lucie Mets opening day (4/9) for only $6
  • First 50 fans in line get a free pair of tickets to the St. Lucie County Fair

2015 Amazin’ Getaways Spring Training packages are available with four departures from New York scheduled for 
March 6March 13March 20, and March 27. All packages include hotel accommodations, rental car and game tickets. The getaways that depart on March 20 and 27 will include an exclusive pre-game brunch and Meet and Greet with a Mets player or coach. The Mets will open their 2015 Major League season on Monday, April 6 at Washington and the Home Opener is Monday, April 13 vs. Philadelphia at 1:10 p.m. at Citi Field.  Mets single game tickets for the 2015 season are on sale now at Mets.com or by calling 718-507-TIXX.

I guess that the organization has really turned the corner when they only sign 3 minor league free agents and invite them to camp (not including our own guys like a Scott Rice who was resigned). We seem to have a lot of depth and so even losing 5 players in the Rule 5 draft has not pushed Sandy to action to refurbish the ranks.

There just isn't much room in the organization right now for 'failed' major leaguers.

Our AAA and AA team are filled with (at least) top quality candidates for eventual Queens rosters.

All this team really needed was ONE MORE BIG BAT.

I just don't understand.
