Now Here's the Scoop:

Las Vegas' Matt Bowman took on the hombres of El Paso tonight. As has happened several times this year, Matt pitched well into the 6th, but tonight in that inning allowed all 3 runs.

Herrera (.344) and Ceciliani (.356) had 2 his each, including DC's 7th homer. Nimmo (.304) tripled and K'd twice. Vic Black struck out 2 in his inning of work.  No earned runs in his last 9 outings (but no Ks in 6 of them).

Binghamton's Gabe Ynoa gave up 10 hits and 5 runs in 5 innings.  The B Mets' only offense was a 4th inning solo shot by longballin' TJ Rivera, who is suddenly unloading bombs with regularity. Four in his last 4 games.  NO OTHER HITS FOR THE B METS. 14 K's too. Just one game.

St Lucie started Mickey Jannis in the resu.ed game 1. He gave up 4 runs (1 earned). Eric Goeddel gave up 2 runs in one inning. Other rehabbers: Wright 2-5, Nieuwenhuis 2 run shot, Kyle Johnson 0-4.

The amazing Jeff McNeil (.319) went 4-4 and scored 3 times. Dominic Smith was on 3 times.   But the Lucies hit into 5 DPs.

Scarlyn Reyes went in Game 2 tonight. 5 shutout innings, 4 Ks. But only 1 Lucie run, and Regnault allowed an inherited runner to score in the 7th, then the losing run in extra innings in the 8th.

Savannah continued their playoff push with Chris Flexen who was masterful, going 6.1 innings allowing no runs. Christian Montgomery promptly surrendered 4, though, but the Gnats hitters recaptured the lead in the 8th. Alberto Baldonado got his 6th save (1.58).

Wuilmer Becerra drove in 4 runs, including a first inning 2 run shot (9), followed by a Eudor Garcia solo shot, also his 9th. Guillorme with 2 hits, including his 12th double (.309).

Brooklyn remained punchless (.220) and got hammered tonight.  Cyclone pitchers surrendered 11 walks, and the back end of the pen gave up 7 runs.

Kingsport rolled with Tom McIlraith (3-0, 1.74) tonight. He cruised for 4, but gave up 4 in the 5th to take his first loss, and the relievers gave up 4 more in the last 3 innings.  Dash Winningham hit his 9th in the setback.

GCL Mets have played well. Not today, as Joel Huertas gave up 6, and reliever Jordan Humphreys allowed 3 earned runs. Lots of walks and 4 errors, Ali Sanchez has slid to .286, Desmond Lindsay (.333) had 2 hits, and Yeffrey De Aza had a hit and sits at .314.

 GOAT: Cyclone hitting and pen

Wuilmer keeps on hitting, I can't wait to keep following his career.

Nimmo not doing anything to show he doesn't belong or shouldn't be given consideration to be part of the future.
