Now Here's the Scoop:
Las Vegas went with 2-0, 2.15 Tim Stauffer tonight, hoping for another gem. Not as good as recently, and now 3-0, 2.75 as he gave up 5 in 6.1 IP, but with dangerous Vegas hitting (12 hits and 8 walks), hard to lose. Scott Rice a career best 1.82 in 49 games, but a high 27 walks in 37 IP this year. Go figure.
Muno 3-4, walk (.308). Ceciliani (.352) on 3 times. Dilson 2-5 (.346). Nimmo (.246) double, walk. Kirk a 2 run 3B, sac fly.
Binghamton went knuckler tonight in Game 2, with Mickey Jannis. The minors' best hitter, Tyler Pill, started game 1. Tyler did not hit, but went to a dazzling 4-0 with shutout pitching. Perfect 4 out save (#22) for Sewald, 3 Ks (1.62).
Jannis lost game 2, with TJ Rivera's 6th inning single being the only B Mets hit.
St Lucie started Scarlyn Reyes and he went 5 strong. David Wright started for the Lucites at 3rd, batting 3rd, went 0-4. He flew out twice to right, grounded out, and fanned. Jeff McNeil on base 3X (.317). Robert Coles lousy in relief, but the L Mets won tonight.
Savannah planned to send tall man Josh Prevost (4-4. 3.61) out to try for 18 straight. RAINED...OUT...AGAIN!
Brooklyn won a rare slugfest. Catcher Jose Garcia drove in 4, and Brandon Kaupe's 3 hits jumped him to .187. Andrew Church was lousy, but won. Palsha (0.40) got his 12th save.
Kingsport's Gave Llanes allowed 3 in the first, dominated the next 6, but the K Mets only scored 2, falling a run short.
The K Met amazing top 4 (Kaczmarski, Carpio, Winningham, and Mazelka) got on 7 times, but not enough production out of the other hitters to win.
GCL Mets fell 7-1. Jose Medina allowed 2 homers and that kinda sums it up. Des Lindsay was 1-3 and a walk.
GOAT: Savannah raindrops slow win streaks
