Carpio, 21, was signed by New York as an international free agent in 2013. He is ranked as the No. 17 prospect in the Mets’ system according to MLB Pipeline.

Carpio is the second Met to receive a weekly FSL award this season. Josh Prevost was named the FSL Pitcher of the Week on June 11.

He's had a tough season offensively, so it is good to break out. Hopefully it will continue.
