Las Vegas 51s 2, Albuquerque Isotopes 1

The 51s defeated the Isotopes, 2-1, in a rain-shortened 5 ½ inning contest in game three of the brief four-game homestand before a 51s T-Shirt Night crowd of 4,048 at Cashman Field.

Las Vegas, 3-0 in the series, is 17-6 (.739) over its last 23 games.

51s right-hander Chris Flexen improved to 5-6 overall and 4-0 vs. Albuquerque with 6 solid innings. He allowed 2 hits, 1 run, walked 2 and struck out 3 on 82 pitches.

Las Vegas broke the scoreless tie with two runs in the fifth inning on a bases loaded single by center fielder Kevin Kaczmarksi (1-for-3) and a bases load walk to Flexen (2-for-2).

Third baseman Luis Guillorme was 3-for-3.

The rain storm over Cashman Field began at 9 p.m. which caused the 37 minute delay. The umpire crew then determined the field was unplayable due to wet grounds.
