            AA-Binghamton – C Austin Bossart: 2-4, R

.500-BA in 2-G as a part of the Mets organization

            A+ St. Lucie – SP Thomas Szapucki: 4.2-IP, ER, 7-K

Another 70 pitch count for Pucki. Three walks added to the pitch count as well.

            A-Columbia – 3B Mark Vientos: 2-4, R, 23rd double

Vientos continues to power up. .416 slugging % vs. .489 last season

Low-A Brooklyn – SP Michel Otanez: 5.1-IP, 0-ER, 4-K, 0.87
This is the 2nd start this year for Otanez, who pitched to a 7.64-ERA last year for the GCL-Mets. There must have been something they liked about this kid to give him this chance.

Rookie-Kingsport –  LF Anthony Dirocie: 3-6, RBI, .600
First game since being demoted from Low-A Brooklyn

DSL-1 – RF Freddy Valdez: 2-4, 2-R, 3-RBI, .277
Pulled near the end of the game… come on… put him on a plane going stateside !

            DSL-2 – RF Omar De Los Santos: 4-6, 2-R, 2-RBI

Lastly…

      SP Anthony Kay’s first start for AAA-Buffalo:

                  4.2-IP, 7-R, 3-ER, 3-BB, 5.79, 2.57

The name to follow in the DSL is Carlos Dominguez. Transferred from the 1 team to the 2 team to see how he fares, he hasn’t stopped. A .900+ OPS and 13 steals compared to Valdez’ .760 OPS. Not even close.

What we all forget is that Steve Matz may be better than Anthony Kay long term - and that isn't saying much.
