3. Aidan Miller, 3B, JW Mitchell HS (FL) – There is a bit of a hitchy shoulder load in his swing, otherwise he is everything you could ask for at the plate. Another very polished hitter, his plus hit tool allows him to get into game power now and has truly elite raw power potential. In the field he has plenty of arm to play third and has a good enough glove feet he projects to be an average to better defender at the position.

9. Colorado Rockies: Aidan Miller, 3B, Mitchell HS (FL)

The Rockies haven’t been afraid to take prep hitters this early and Miller possesses raw power and bat speed from the right side. He should stay at third base as well.

11. Los Angeles Angels: Aidan Miller, 3B, JW Mitchell HS (FL)

Incredible bat speed that has the potential for double-plus power, Miller performed so well in the summer that he’s risen on every board. He’s got long arms, fluid wrist action, and great bat-to-ball mechanics. His defensive is no joke either.

4. INF Aidan Miller

The only high school prospect on this list will be infielder Aidan Miller.

The Trinity native out of J.W. Mitchell High School in New Port Richey, Florida is listed at 6’2” and 205 pounds. On Perfect Game, Miller is the fourth-ranked prospect and the second-ranked shortstop in the country. He’s also the second-ranked prospect and shortstop in Florida.

Miller is a potential two-way player who might be able to pitch at the next level. On the mound, he tops out at 94 mph with a curveball and changeup. As a hitter, Miller has plus power to all fields and runs well with a 6.88 60-yard dash. He is committed to play college ball for Arkansas.

The last three times that the Marlins have drafted in the top 10, they’ve gone with college prospects (Jacob Berry, Max Meyer and JJ Bleday). But they might make an exception for a talented ballplayer like Aidan Miller.

9. Colorado Rockies

Aidan Miller, 3B, JW Mitchell

Miller is a physical freak with tremendous bat speed and the potential for future double-plus power at his peak. Some have compared the entire profile to an Austin Riley type of performer with a tick better defense at the hot corner. Miller has really begun answering questions on the future hit tool this past summer and has seen his stock surge up draft boards following every showcase/tournament.

11. Los Angeles Angels | Aidan Miller, 3B, JW Mitchell HS (Fla.)

The Angels were very aggressive with their first rounder in 2022, finishing Zach Neto’s year in AA, and it’s a system that could use some young, prep talent. Miller is among the best hitters on the high school side showing excellent strike zone discipline and some of the best bat speed and power in the class. Miller has had a really consistent time on the circuit since he was young and feels like one of the safer right-handed high school bats, even if he doesn’t stick at shortstop. -VC

Third Base: Aidan Miller, Mitchell HS (Trinity, Fla.)

Miller played shortstop for a lot of games over the summer but has spent a good amount of time at third base in the past, a position in which he looks more than comfortable. Miller has the instincts and reactions to excel at the hot corner, controlling his base well and showing lots of comfort to his backhand. He’s got a mid-90s arm too, which will be a left side weapon for him long term.

Sitting in the third spot, once again, is 3B Aidan Miller (JW Mitchell HS, FL). The Arkansas recruit was a force and catalyst in helping Team USA capture a gold medal at the World Cup early on in the fall. His physicality and athleticism provide natural plate coverage with present strength to all fields and exciting upside as a middle-of-the-order bat.

10-27-22 - Joe Doyle @JoeDoyleMiLB

Aidan Miller is one of the most imposing sluggers in the 2023 class. Currently our No. 15 ranked prospect, Miller compares himself to Austin Riley, but built his swing off watching Bryce Harper and Bo Bichette.

This kid is the real deal.

14. Aiden Miller

Third Base, JW Mitchell

Miller is one of the most physical preps in the 2023 class. He's big and athletic with explosive power that stems from a combination of raw strength and excellent bat speed. Miller is a consistent high-performer on the amateur circuit and his mammoth power finds it way into games already. He can run a fastball into the low-90s on the mound, but his future is likely swinging a bat.

The body is already very thick and muscular, so he'll need to maintain his athleticism as he gets older. For now, it's comfortably a third base profile, with a corner outfield or first base role possible as he ages.

No. 3 overall: 3B/RHP Aiden Miller, a Razorback recruit, has been one of the top prospects in the class since the day he stepped foot in high school.

Miller, also a Team USA member, was all the talk in Los Angeles during the All-Star break, winning MVP honors in the High School All-American Game and then winning the high school home run derby to boot. He’s cemented himself as one of the best high school bats in the class.

11. Rangers: Aidan Miller, 3B, JW Mitchell HS (Trinity, Fla.)

The younger brother of Reds prospect, Jackson, Aidan Miller certainly made a name for himself during All-Star week in Los Angeles. He went 4-for-5 to earn MVP honors in the High School All-American Game, then came out on top in the high school home run derby. He’s an excellent right-handed hitter with plenty of power now and to come, with third base his most likely defensive destination.
