26. Liam Peterson, RHP, Calvary Christian HS (FL) – Peterson has a lot to really like, and a lot to be concerned with. His delivery is very hitchy with a short arm 3/4 slot with late effort, but there is life in that quick arm and the ball really jumps out of his hand. He has two breakers, a curve in the lower 70s with more of a 1-7 shape but he has a slider that really runs in the 77-78 range that flashes plus.
The change sits 83-85 and will run for days, also has a plus potential. The fastball is, you guessed it, a runner sitting 91-95 that plays up with the arm action and will probably add velo to his long projectable frame.

Sits 91-94 T95 with running life late, filling up the zone. Slider features high spin 78-81 with late break, can manipulate shape. The breaking ball here is the real gem. Flashes a changeup at 83 with tumble and a mid-70's bender. Athletic, compact delivery that needs to work on consistency, but significant upside with starter traits.

Liam Peterson is a 2023 RHP/1B with a 6-5 195 lb. frame from Palm Habor, FL who attends Calvary Christian HS. Extra long frame with long limbs and plus physical projection remaining. Primary right-handed pitcher who only pitched during the event. Full windup through a three-quarters slot with a full arm stroke. Plus arm speed with some effort out in front.
Peaked at 95 mph and lived in the 91-94 mph range. Very good sink and run on the fastball. Slider showed spin over 2700+ with tight bite while he could also land the softer curveball for strikes. Turned over some nasty changeups to left-handed hitters. Very high ceiling stuff and projection overall. Great student. Verbal commitment to Florida
