Date: 6-12-12
Mets:
Mets fans just amaze me
I spent three days on
Twitter reading hundreds of tweets saying that the Mets suck in some form,
shape, or color.
Last night, Ike Davis hits a home run and look Ma, I’m king of the
world!
Amazing.
3B Shawn Bowman – AAA-Jacksonville - .258/.324/.396/.720,
5-HR, 62-K
SP Mike Antonini – AAA-Albuquerque – 1-4, 4.56
And you think you had a
bad day. The Mets cut Thomas de Wolf. He’s
trying to hook up with an Indy team and the USA takes away his visa… attention
scouts… save this man!!!!
Former Mets VP Tony Bernazard, who oversaw the farm system under Omar Minaya, is now working as a liaison to players
for agent Scott Boras
AAA – Buffalo:
RP Josh Edgin went into
Tuesday’s game - last 16.1IP, 1.65ERA, 17K, 5BB, most appearances in IL since
5/13
Looks like 1B Josh Satin’s bat is getting pissed again. Hit his 4th
home run.
AA-Binghamton:
RHP Zack Wheeler last 4 Double-A starts: 29 IP, 9 H, 5 R,
1 HR (only one allowed all year), 10 BB, 30 SO. Avg game score: 74
OF Dustin Martin transferred from Buffalo (AAA) to
Binghamton (AA)
The Tuesday game was
rained out. There will be a Wednesday doubleheader beginning at 5:35pm.
A+ - St. Lucie: -
Another night at second
base for Wilmer Flores and this is becoming much
more than day-to-day. Flores’ bat is ready to bolt to AA, and we all know he’s
not a candidate for a corner outfield position because of his lack of speed.
The current failure of Reese Havens and the suspension of Danny Muno has caused
the Mets to look for other future alternatives to Daniel Murphy. Defensively,
Flores played horribly at short but carried his weight on third. We’ll watch
him defensively this month and report back.
SP Tyler Pill needed (4-ER, 8-H, in 5.1-IP) to take one
tonight. RP John
Church (1.0-IP, 3-ER) pitched even worse. Flores doubled in two in a
rally attempt… it’s rare for Lucy’s pitching to break down this badly in one
game… CF Alonzo
Harris 3-4 (.276).
A – Savannah:
The Sand Gnats are off
for the third straight night, this time a rain out.
DSL Mets:
LF Johanny Sierra – 2-4, 2-R, HR, 1-RBI, .333
CL Jorge Cespedes – 2.0-IP, 0-H, 0-R, 2-K, 0-BB, 1.69
