- Chet Joslyn started off the day right with his first throw from the outfield. Clocking in at 87 MPH, Joslyn certainly turned some heads with an fluid throw on the money to third.
- Keegan Baar registered the highest velocity of the day at 84 MPH. Only a sophomore from the Division 1 state champion Hudsonville Eagles, Baar, a 6-foot-4 lefty, has good upside and uses his long lanky levers. When he tilts his pitches they have good life to them.
- Austin Batka also touched 84 MPH on from the mound. The 5-foot-10 Batka is in the 2013 recruiting class was a nice surprise and is also a winner coming from the state champions Grand Rapids Christian team.
- The best exit bat speed was registered by Nick Barraso. Barrasso, a 6-foot-3, 230-pound athlete had good bat speed that generated some pop.
Jake Bivens, Battle Creek Lakeview, SS/MIF, Class of 2014, showed extremely well. Bivens, who is also a Midwest Futures Games commit, ran the best time of the day at 6.73. In addition to running well, he presented nicely at short displaying solid arm strength and smooth actions. At the plate he had a good line drive swing that he used to spray balls around the yard.
