Well, the GCL Mets reacted to the Matt Harvey news in a positive way, pounding out 19 hits and beating the GCL Cardinals, 18-3, at Roger Dean Stadium.
Three Mets had four hits each… 2B Leon Canelon (.275), 1B Dominic Smith (.288), and LF Oswald Caraballo (.189). One of Canelon’s hits was his first home run of the season.
Andrew Church (5.91) had a decent outing, going: 7.0-IP, 8-H, 3-ER, 4-K, 1-BB. Ryan Chapman (5.40) closed it out with two scoreless innings.
