Starter Giancarlo Alvarado was bombed: 6.0 IP, 6 R, 4 ER, 8 H, 3 BB, 8 K.

Jack Leathersich followed suit: 1.0 IP, 3 R, 2 H, 2 BB, 2 K.

Ditto D.J. Mitchell: (L, 6-5) 1.0 IP, 4 R, 4 H, (2 HR) 0 BB, 2 K.

 

Ruben Tejada: 3-5, BB, 2 R.

Mike Baxter: 2-4, HR, 2 BB, 3 RBI, R.

Francisco Pena: 2-4, 2 2B, BB, 2 R.

Brandon Hicks: 4-5, 3B, 2 RBI, 3 R.

Angel Cuan (W, 8-3) pitches a fine game: 6.0 IP, 2 R, 5 H, (2 HR) 2 BB, 4 K.  Angel has been too susceptible to the long ball this year, but almost all as a starter. If he makes it to the majors, Angel’s future is probably in the pen.

Cody Satterwhite goes 2 scoreless: 0 H, BB, K.

T.J. Chism: (S, 19) 1.0 IP, 0 R, H, 0 BB, K.

 

Kyle Johnson: 1-4, R.

T.J. Rivera: 1-4, RBI, R.

Jayce Boyd: 2-4, RBI.

 

Rome (70-63) routs Savannah (72-58) 14-1.

 

Marcos Camarena (L, 5-3) in 4.0 innings, was rocked: 8 R, 7 H, 2 BB, 4 K.

 

Eudy Pina: 1-4, BB, R.

 

Tri-City (41-26) tops Brooklyn (35-32) 5-3 in 16 innings.

 

Starter Darwin Frias: 6.0 IP, 3 R, 5 H, (HR) 2 BB, 11 K.

After 4 Cyclones relievers had held the Valley Cats scoreless for the next 9 innings, the 4^th, Christian Chivilly (L, 3-1) gives up 2 runs in the 16^th, his 2^nd inning of work.

GCL Cardinals (24-34) rout GCL Mets (19-39) 11-6.

Leading 5-3 going into the 8^th inning, the Mets blow this one.

 

Casey Meisner pitched well enough to win this one: 6.0 IP, 3 R, 5 H, 2 BB, 2 K.

Ramon Esttevez, coming in for the 8^th inning, can not get an out: 4 R, 2 H, 2 BB.

Gaither Bumgardner gets out of the 8^th but runs into trouble in the 9^th: 1.2 IP, 4 R, 7 H, 0 BB, 3 K.
