GCL Mets (11-10) edge GCL Marlins (5-16) 1-0 in a 6 ½ inning, rain shortened game.
In a classic pitcher’s duel, the Mets held the Marlins to only 4 singles and a walk. Meanwhile, the Mets were held to only 2 singles, but they made them count, with both coming at the start of the 5th inning, followed by a sac bunt, a walk to load the bases, and another walk to force in the only run of the game.
Rob Whalen was exceptional: 4.0 IP, 0 R, 2 H, BB, 5 K. (Could Alderson be showcasing Whalen?)

Kevin Canelon: (S, 1) 1.0 IP, 0 R, H, 0 BB, K.

C Darryl Knight (1-3) got another, moving Reyes to 2nd.
CF Raphael Ramirez (0-0, 2 BB) got the bases loaded walk.
