Florida 10 - St. Lucie 1

The Florida Fire Frogs avoided a four-game sweep with a convincing 10-1 win over the St. Lucie Mets on Easter at First Data Field.

The Fire Frogs bashed out 15 hits while their pitchers limited the Mets to five singles. No. 9 hitter Alejandro Salazar went 3 for 4 with three RBIs and three runs scored.

Fire Frogs starter Luiz Gohara held the Mets to one run on five hits in five innings. He walked three and struck out four. Relievers Taylor Lewis and Devan Watts combined to no-hit the Mets over the final four innings.

Mets starter Joseph Shaw was roughed up for six earned runs and 10 hits in three innings.

Wuilmer Becerra led the Mets on offense, going 2 for 4. The Mets streak of 10 straight games with an extra base hit came to an end.

The Mets (5-6) head to Dunedin on Monday to start a four-game series with the Blue Jays. First pitch is 6:30 p.m.

No one is mixing up Joe Shaw and Jacob deGrom at this point.

Heal quickly, Pete Alonso - this team needs the offense.
