The Bees defeated the 51s, 14-12, in the finale of the brief five-game homestand before a FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA season-high crowd of 9,321 at Cashman Field.
Las Vegas’ season-high seven-game win streak was snapped and L.V. is now 12-3 over last 15 games.
The game featured 26 runs and 30 hits and Salt Lake built a 9-1 lead after 3 ½ innings.
Las Vegas rallied and tied the game at 12-12 in the eighth inning on a two-run homer by left fielder Zach Borenstein (2-for-5, 3 RBI).
Salt Lake center fielder Michael Hermosillo (4-for-5, double, walk, 2 RBI, four runs scored) hit a solo homer to lead off the ninth inning to give the Bees a 13-12 lead.
