Mack – Transactions and Kudos: Patrick Mazeika, Wagner Lagrange, Jose Butto, Matt Allen

Sunday, August 11th

No transactions.

      Kudos –

AAA-Syracuse – 2B Arismenty Alcantara: 2-4, .303

AA-Binghamton – C Patrick Mazeika: 2-3, R, 14th HR, RBI

We need to start recognizing that Patrick is a viable candidate for the 2020 Mets 25-man. He plays decently behind the plate, could also backup Alonso on first, and his power is beginning to go off the charts.

            A+ St. Lucie – DH Wagner Lagrange: 2-4, R, RBI, .356

I wish they would stop DHing this bat and give him a chance to develop his field skills.

A-Columbia – SP Jose Butto: 2-IP, 0-R 3-K, 3.63

This is Butto’s 23rd game for the Flies and he’s quietly earning himself a bump up to St. Lucie.

Low-A Brooklyn – 1B Joe Genord: 2-5, R, 7th HR, 6-RBI

GCL – SP Matt Allen: SP Matt Allen: 2-IP, 0-R, 3-K

Better. Up to 20 pitches, 14 of which were 14.

Wagner is a good outfielder, so he should not be a DH all the time.

Mazeika's RBI per at bat rate is excellent. Especially in AA.

Tom and Mack. We are in agreement about Mazeika.

On November 13, Felix Unger was asked to remove himself from his place of residence; that request came from his wife. Deep down, he knew she was right, but he also knew that some day he would return to her. With nowhere else to go, he appeared at the home of his friend, Oscar Madison. Several years earlier, Madison's wife had thrown HIM out, requesting that HE never return. Can two divorced men share an apartment without driving each other crazy?
