STARTING PITCHING MATCHUP: LHP Darin Gorski (2-3, 4.63) makes his ninth start of the season and third against the Akron Aeros. The lefty took the loss in his previous start against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on May 25. He allowed four runs on seven hits over 4.2 innings. The Pennsylvania native has not thrown at least five innings in each of his last three appearances. In two starts against the Aeros, Gorski has gone 1-0 with a 0.75 ERA. In 12.0 innings, he has allowed a .179 batting average and struck out 10. Gorski was selected by the Mets in the 7th round of the 2009 draft.

RHP Paolo Espino (0-1, 1.69) makes his sixth appearance of the season and fourth start. Espino missed a month after being sidelined with an oblique injury he suffered on Opening Night against the B-Mets on April 5. Espino threw two innings against the B-Mets on April 5 before being pulled from the game due to injury. The native of Panama made two starts with the Columbus Clippers (AAA) in mid-May, going 0-1 with a 6.75 ERA
