The GCL Marlins (14-21) beat the GCL Mets (10-25), 4-1, at Roger Dean Stadium.The Mets had nine hits, including two each from SS Luis Guillorme (.275), CF Ivan Wilson (.214), and C Jose Garcia (.220). Their single run was scored in the second inning when 3B Jhoan Urena (.274) doubled and came home on Garcia’s single.
Mets starter, Marcos Molina (4.41), gave up four runs (3 earned) in 5.0 innings pitched. Relievers Ramon Estevez (4.38) and Craig Missigman (3.72) combined for three scoreless innings.
