DSL Pirates2 (39-23) creep past DSL Mets1 (19-44) 11-10.

Starter Jose Mendez: 3.2 IP. 7 R, 7 H, 4 BB, 4 K. That’s all folks!

Four other Mets pitchers held the Pirates to 1 earned run and 3 unearned runs, but the last of those unearned runs, after the Mets scored 8 in the 8th inning to tie, did in Miguel Gutierrez (L, 0-4) as he was only able to get 1 out in his 2nd inning of relief.

Santos Infante: 1-3, HR, 2 BB, 2 RBI, R.

Luis Crisostomo: 2-3, 2 BB, 2 R, 2 SB.  After successfully stealing second base and third base, Luis was caught stealing home. Who said 3rd try is a charm?
