This is actually a very good trade for the club.....Herrera is an interesting prospect.

Looks like an infielder with some pop that could project to be a 2b in the future. Good to get something for those two guys.
And I think there is a Byrd tee shirt night at Citi field tonight.

Dilson Herrera is the Pirates #11th rated prospect and considered the 9th best 2B prospect in all of baseball. Depending upon the PTBNL In this deal, this could end up being a decent haul for 2 guys that aren't signed for next year.

.265/.330./.421 11 hrs, 56 rbis, 27 2bs, all while playing Low A (Savannah equivalent) as a 19 yr old.

My guess for the PTBNL is either Wily Garcia or Clay Holmes since they are currently not on the 40 man roster and therefore don't need to clear waivers. Just a guess on those guys, no inside knowledge.

Nice deal....it's always nice to get something for nothing.

Any chatter on the PTBNL?

The GM of the Bucs said that Mets fans will be very happy with the PTBNL... my guess is either d'Arnaud, Pimentel or Sands

my money would be on Sands

It has to be someone on the 40-man, doesn't it?
