2010 MLB Draft Notes

Justin O’Connor has become the first player to make mock drafts under three different positions. Most have him as a SS, a few still list him as apitcher, and one now posts him as a catcher, which is probably what he will play the 2010 season as…

Jacksonville State’s RHP Alex Jones played pain free in fall ball and local reports have his fastball back up in the 91-92 range…

Kevin Keyes isn’t the only outfielder that should be changing to forst base to improve his draft position… word is Bryce Brentz will be doing the same…

I’ll be updating the mock draft situation around the 15th of December and look for some big ranking changes. I have reduced the list of mock’s that I analyze to the last ten, and some players will show huge ranking changes due to either their recent popularity or demise…

the draft seems to be getting more dominated by RHPs… some recent mocks are up to 18 in the first round… the more one realizes this is a weak college crop, the more you will see high schoolers move up the ranks…
