6-10-12 - Daily Mets Minors Report

Date: 6-10-12

Mets:
Did the Yankees actually build Ebbets Field?  310 down the line?  You’re kidding me, right? How in the hell did the league let Hank get away with this? Shouldn’t there be some kind of length requirement in the 21st century?
Mets and Johan Santana form exclusive partnership for autographed memorabilia commemorating  franchise's 1st no-hitter – err… I don’t know about this… I guess we’re all better off the sooner this team turns a profit again.
AAA – Buffalo:
Mike Harrington - Dylan Owen's 3 innings today for Bisons: No hits, one walk. His three innings Tuesday at Columbus: 13 runs, 11 hits, 5 walks…
Source – Target date for Mets pen/Jennry Mejia – 6-22 at Wrigley
Nice 4-2 win by the Bisons featuring excellent relief pitching. Justin Hampson may be somebody to start following… now 35-K in 34.1-IP.
AA-Binghamton:

Tight 1-1 game until the top of the 9thJuan Lagares singled, sac to 2nd by Travis Ozga, throwing error got him home –

They take a one run into the bottom of the 9th and Adrian Rosario (2.16) has his one bad outing of the year, giving up two runs on a walkaway loss.

A+ - St. Lucie: -
Before we go any further… if you play Lucy, you ain’t gonna score a lot of runs. Got it?
Position changes were interesting. Wilmer Flores (.304) played second base. Robbie Shields (.242) was moved to third. Hmm…
Eric Goeddel had another quality start – 5.0-IP, 2-ER, 7-H, 4-K, 0-BB, 2.20.
RF Cory Vaughn (.238) hit his league leading 12th home run in the fourth.
Lucy went ahead in the 10th inning on a wild pitch.
Big time relief pitching by both Jack Leathersich (2.02) and Adam Kolareck (1.78), until Kolarek threw two wild pitches and allowed the game to tie up again  .

A – Savannah:
CF Travis Taijerson (.289) had his 40th RBI on a sac-fly in the 3rd inning

Alice Cooper throws out the first pitch and Bill Murray pulls a head first slide on the tarp during rain delay
The game was suspended in the fourth inning. SP Marcos Camerena stats: 3.1-IP, 2-H, 0-R, 1.28

A-low – Brooklyn:
Opens June 18th
Rookie – Kingsport:
Rob Whalen‏ =

@JohnMackinAde I'm going to Kingsport Friday

DSL Mets:

Possible Prospect Alert –

6-1 LHSP Lenny Rosario – 21-yrs old (much too old for this level) – 2 starts so far this year – 0.00 – 10-Ks in 7.0-IP

CF John Mora -  .429/.481/.524/1.005
