Still a very small sample size.....but Dario Alvarez is not doing himself any favors against a league with some of the top offensive prospects in the MLB.

So far lefties are hitting .286 against him.

Meanwhile Hilario continues to look strong.

Don't mind the ER he gave up as it came on a HR from Seattle's Patrick Kivlehan, who hit 20 HR and 103 RBIs this season.

Hilario had a fine season with Savannah in 2013 but this season with St. Lucie he just couldn't find the strike zone. His 6.8 BB/9 IP was quite an abberation from his career mark of 3.1 BB/9.

He'll be interesting person to continue following.

Hi Chris

That is why I still say that Leather may beat Alvarez out for a lefty spot. Jack has to hunker down to be more effective vs. lefties, but he has a lot of high minors experience. Hopefully, he is working on that this off season.

Dario has had little experience above mid-A, so it may take time for him to adjust and adapt. Maybe he is a late 2015 call up.
