DSL METS 1 (24-23) 6 - Dodgers  4

DSL METS 2 (27-19) - Rangers

Las Vegas sent Tyler Pill to the mound in game # 100.  Ugly.
Pill allowed 7 runs in 0.2 IP to a Reno team hitting .284. Tyler pitching hurt?  ERA up to 7.60. Pen bad t onight, too. On a weird note, Matt Reynolds pitched the final 2 scoreless for Reno (obviously there's more than one Matt).

Binghamton won in 17 innings in a low scoring affair.

The B Met's Rob Gsellman came into the game at 4-5, 3.76 in AA following his terrific stint at St Lucie.  He dazzled with 7.1 innings of 4 hit, one run ball. The Conforto-less B Mets struggled to score, but Joe Benson drove in the winning run late into the night.

Stellar relief pitching, not allowing a Trenton team to plate a run over 9.2 innings after Gsellman departed. Beck Wheeler  is 5-1 after the win. Velasquez K'd  2 in a scoreless 17th for his 15th save.

St Lucie rained out.

Savannah went into battle against the Hags with Corey Oswalt (the Hagerstown Hags would be a fine name for them, dontcha think?)

Savannah exploded for 16 runs and 18 hits, plus 8 walks. Eudor Garcia (.287) wants the Mets to call him up too, with 3 doubles, a HR, BB, and 5 RBIs.  John Mora stroked a homer and double, with 3 RBIs. Michael Katz added 3 doubles and 2 ribbies. Luis Guillorme?  3 hits and a walk (.302), and 2 ribs.

Corey Oswalt tossed 5.1 innings of 7 hit, 4 run ball for the Gnats.  Tonight, that was good enough to win.

Brooklyn came in just 4-9 after it soared to a 14-5 season start.  So tonight, Tyler Badamo allowed runs in just one of his 6 innings.  Unfortunately it was 4 runs, and the .226 hitting Cyclones could only scrape together 3 runs while fanning 14 times to lose again.

Kingsport's Audry German strode to the hill tonight and only K'd one...but those 2 hits over 7 IP? Real impressive.

Ivan Wilson with a 3 run Jack, and a single in 4 ABs, but 2 Ks.  Kevin Kazmarski continues his fine start (2-3, BB, .330).

The GCL Mets lost game #1 when Max Wotell, in his second solid inning of work, allowed his first run as a pro. Heck, in his first 4.2 IP, he has allowed just 1 hit and struck out 8.

In GCL Metsie game 2,  DESMOND LINDSAY STARTED IN CF! It was as inauspicious as can be, though, as the game was rained out before he got to hit.

Josh Prevost returned from a 9 week DL stint and got an inning in before the deluge.  He had very fine starts in May before he went on the shelf. Let's hope for good health.

DSL METS 1:  nothing like the opponents making for errors leading to four unearned runs. Kenny Hernandez continues to break out of it, with two hits and a walk and is up to .169.  And that's a long way up.

 DSL METS 2:

 GOAT: Tyler Pill, the rain,

In DSL 2, Wagner Lagrange and Grabiel Jimimez combined for 6 for 11 yesterday. Did not get to post their game.

The DSL being the sub-minors, who knows if they will ever be any good, but both are hitting well over .300.
