Rooting this for this team is like dating a crazy woman.

Considering what the last (nearly) decade has been like I should be grateful that they're in 1st and in a pennant race this late. Plus, a magic number of 5 is good. But, this should have been put away by now. How can they play this poorly against poor teams and expect to have any postseason success? If they do limp into the playoffs they're going to get crushed.

I can just hear the spin now. "Well, we played a lot of meaningful games and made the post season. The rebuild is a year ahead of schedule so we're happy with our effort. Our guys battled and we're proud of the effort."

From ruthless to gutless in about two weeks.

The Mets' favorite song right now is Dingo Staff's "A Little Help from My Friends"

I have become a big Orioles fan the past 2 days.
